Many Faces of Ben-

These are just a few samplings of Ben's latest hobby - making and wearing masks. I feel a bit like MacGyver at times turning Ben into a SCUBA diver, Catwoman or robot using only an oatmeal box, a piece of string, duct tape and an old t-shirt. Although, Bubba and Great Aunt Kim sculpted the paper bag "Iron Man" mask shown above.

It's also funny because he doesn't really like anyone to see him dressed up. He will go in his room, shut the door and play by himself (fine by me!) all dressed up. Also he usually says, "Mom, don't say 'Wow' or 'Cool' or anything when I wear my costume." Hmph!

Gettin' Ready-

We've been doing a lot of painting, organizing and cleaning around 811. We're hoping to get our house on the market sometime this summer! SO, Ben wanted to join in the action and help with the painting (even though he had water and a brush he still had a great time)!

Meet Cuckoo Clock

Ben and I have been doing a lot of yard work today and he was so happy to find a "friend." Let me introduce the lovely Cuckoo Clock the caterpillar. This is Cuckoo Clock II - he found the first Cuckoo Clock this past weekend but wouldn't let me take a picture. He wants a pet so badly or a "friend to live with him" so Cuckoo Clock will fit the bill. He reminds me of a Bugs Bunny cartoon "I'm gonna love him, hug him, pet him and squeeze him and call him George."

We got this awesome planet frog case from Aunt Melissa... but we have been filling it with our backyard buddies until we order our tadpole. Also in the case are "Alvin, Simon and Theodore" the snails. We're having a lot of fun with this :) Thanks GREAT Aunt M...
